Zach & Breanne | September 22, 2018 | Ramage Farms, Hooks, Texas

Zach and Breanne’s big day was such a sweet, sweet experience. It was muddy and raining, but neither Zach or Breanne showed much concern for the weather. It was THEIR big day and that was all the sunshine that they needed.

Their wedding was a combination of gorgeous greens and pastels, with a hint of rustic. When I asked Breanne to describe her wedding style and the little things she added to make it unique to her, this was her response.

“I went for a southern, chic style. I’m a sucker for succulents, greenery, thistles, and peonies. So my florist threw those in everywhere big and small. It really gave my wedding a neat look. Not the normal, pain ole flowers you always see.  We also opted for our guests to highlight their favorite bible verse and sign their name in our new family bible that my mom and Nana had given us as a wedding gift. Every time we open it, we will see those sweet memories.”

Everything from their sweet décor touches, their emotional first look with each other, and Breanne having her dad and her son, Brody, walk her down the aisle and give her away, just pulled at the heartstrings. Brody looked at his mama as he was walking her down the aisle with stars in his eyes. And the way Zach looked at both of them instilled in everyone there just how much he loves them. After placing Breanne’s ring on her finger, Zach then turned and placed a necklace around Brody’s neck, making the same promises to always love, cherish, and care for him as well as for Brody’s mama.

I always like to ask my brides what their favorite part of their wedding day is, and Breanne’s response really resonated with me. It wasn’t all of the amazing décor, or the fabulous dress. It wasn’t even their first look. It was just a perfect, small moment in time after their ceremony.

“I have many favorite parts, obviously, but I’m going to say that the moment after we said “I do” and walked out. We were all in the back hallway of the venue. Just standing there surrounded by our family and friends. Everyone is so happy, excited, and emotional. But he has his arms around me, and we are just looking at each other. The love we had in that moment was so real and deep. All we had been through leading up to this day was finally worth it! We had done it!

They ended their day with dancing, laughing, smiling, and bubbles! It truly was one of the sweetest weddings I’ve had the honor of photographing.

A bit of advice to future brides from Breanne:

“Relax! Take time to breathe! Enjoy the entire process. It all goes so fast, including the engagement. Most importantly, make sure you find a photographer that you trust! This is a big day, and you want good pictures that catch every little detail. Even the ones that you missed. That day only lasts so long, and you’ll have these pictures forever!
